HOUSE COMMITTEE, 18th February 1891 The Govenor having suggested that knives and forks should be obtained for the inmates, the Committee remit the matter to the Provisions Committee, with powers.
PROVISIONS COMMITTEE, 22nd April 1891 The Govenor submitted the following estimates which, as instructed, he had obtained for the supply of knives and forks to the inmates of the Poorhouse, viz:- Mappin Bros., with bone or buff handle, 8s. per dozen pairs. Thos. Scott & Co., knives, with bone handle, 3s. 9d. per dozen; white metal forks, 22s. 6d. per gross - stamped E.C.P. (Lockwood's make) Wingfield, Rowbotham & Co., 3s. 9d., 4s. 9d., and 6s. per set of 12 pairs. The Committee having examined the offers, and compared the samples sent in, accept the tender of Messrs Scott & Co., and instruct the Govenor to obtain 6 gross pairs.
HOUSE COMMITTEE, 20th December 1893 The Committee remit to Mr Macdougald and Mrs Steedman to purchase a dinner set for use of Officials at the House.
